High-Resolution Engraving Lens

This Mounted Triplet lens can be used to variably focus or collimate the laser light with reduced aberration due to its triplet (three element) design. Its relatively long effective focal length (EFL) of 8 mm allows it to focus laser light to a small spot.

About the High-Resolution Engraving Lens

The High-Resolution Mounted Triplet Lens has a relatively long effective focal length (EFL) of 8 mm, which allows it to focus laser light to a small spot. All 6 lens surfaces are coated with anti-reflection (AR) coating centered at 450 nm. It is usually preferred for engraving a thinner line, cutting a thicker material due to the reduced convergence and divergence, or when a long distance between the laser head and the plane of the object to be engraved is necessary.

Suggested focus distance: 25 - 100 mm

• Easy to make fine adjustments of the focal spot size or working distance due to the rubber O-Ring and M9 x 0.5 mm thread
• High-efficiency anti-reflection (AR) coating of 450 nm on all 6 lens surfaces allows high transmission
• The long focal length allows high-resolution engraving
• Replacement focusing lens for all PLH3D-Series laser heads

Note for engraving applications:

This lens is included with all of our PLH3D-Series laser engravers and is compatible with our lens focus adjuster accessory. It is easy to clean the front surface of the lens if it becomes dirty when engraving, which may be done with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and an optical wipe. However, in some cases, it can be necessary to replace the lens. It is recommended to purchase an extra lens with PLH3D-Series laser heads if they will be used in an environment where dust, smoke or oil are generated.
